It all started with a mother's love and a centuries-old Italian recipe. In 1974, Efren and Joseph Boglio honored their mother Mama Giordano by recreating her beloved stuffed Easter pie — a rich, thick, hand-crafted masterpiece unlike anything Chicago had ever tasted. That first restaurant on the North Side of Chicago changed the city's food culture forever.

The giordano's name quickly became synonymous with the ultimate Chicago deep dish pizza experience. Each pie is patiently handcrafted with a double-layered, buttery crust, packed generously with premium mozzarella, fresh toppings, and finished with a robust, vine-ripened tomato sauce on top — a signature unlike any other.
